About Pastor Woods....
Pastor Billy J. Woods accepted his call to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to bring men and women into the knowledge and saving Grace of our Lord in 1988. Prior to that, he served as a Deacon and minister under the tutelage of Bishop C. L. Carter, Sr. at First Missionary (formerly) Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in College Park. He also began teaching a bible study group at Sears & Roebuck where he was employed. Married to Lady Charlene Woods.
He is a pastor with a spiritual mission, teaching and preaching God’s Word with understanding and clarity. Being obedient fulfilled his calling as pastor of God’s Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church within his home with a small group.
He is a Godly man, exhibiting a true shepherd’s heart, teaching, and preaching, with a tremendous dedication to God’s flock no matter the time of day or night.
Through the media ministry, he is able, to reach those that are sick and shut in. His dedication and commitment to his calling have encouraged men and women, boys, and girls to give their lives to Christ.
His assignment is clear to compel, to prepare, and to promote the elements of prayer and praise. Being a voice for the Kingdom and a preserver of God’s Word.
Being a little league coach in his younger years, he was coaching to win, Still coaching to win, and just changed teams!
